钟山风景名胜区位于南京都市发展区的核心地带，它以秀丽的钟山为基础，以雄伟的中山陵为特色，以十朝文化为底蕴，融山林、水体、城墙为一体，总面积35.04平方公里，因其优美的自然风光和丰富的古迹文物，自古以来就有“金陵毓秀”的称誉。
在目前社会经济高速发展和转型的时期，国家重点风景名胜区钟山风景名胜区迎来了前所未有的机遇和挑战。2004年钟山风景名胜区进行了外缘景区规划，重点是对钟山风景区周边环境进行综合整治，确立以文化旅游和生态发展为主的未来土地利用和发展方向，同时提升土地的生态和人文价值，目的在于塑造一个世界级的风景区。规划依据国家、省、市关于风景区的相关法律、法规，采用“文化地景”设计和管理策略，保护钟山风景名胜区深厚历史文化资源，展现文化底蕴风采。对土地利用进行优化，平衡旅游发展与生态保护，促进旅游业发展。以“宽思路、整空间、拓功能、大旅游”为规划策略。实现钟山风景名胜区的“展现文化底蕴风采、山水一体化、建构文化地景地标、发展旅游经济、维护自然生态环境”的最终目标。
根据外缘景区规划将形成若干新的景观公园：前湖公园（包括琵琶湖景区和中山门入口公园）、博爱园、天地科学园、钟山运动公园、山北民风区、下马坊公园、东入口公园、营盘山公园等。同时对景区交通、建筑、环境生态、水文资源、生物资源、文化资源、开发利用和景区经济发展等进行了规划。
外缘景区规划保护并强化钟山风景名胜区独特的“山（林）、水、城、林”景观特征以及“国际旅游圣地、南京古都风貌维护核心、市区维护生态平衡基地和全市主要文化娱乐园地”的重要功能，并使之具有方便舒适、设施先进、规模适度的旅游接待设施体系和顺畅有效的风景区统一管理的组织系统，成为社会、环境、经济三大效益协调显著的国内一流、国际知名的、具有卓越自然生态、历史文化和景观资源的国家风景名胜区。
Zhongshan Scenic Spot is in the center of the developing zone of Nanjing city. It sits on beautiful Zhongshan Hill, centralizing Dr. Sun Yat-sen` s Mausoleum of grand, culturalized by ten Dynasties. It covers 35.04 sq.km., with forest, stream and castle as an unique landscape. It gains a reputation of "Jinling Yuxiu" from the history for its beautiful natural scenes and rich historical relics.
In the period of social economy rapid developing and transforming, Zhongshan Scenic Spot, as one of the main scenic spots of state-level, faces the opportunities and challenges that has ever met. In 2004, the plan for the outer fringe of the Zhongshan Scenic Spot was made. The plan focused on the comprehensive remediation of the around area, to establish culture tourism and ecology development as the main direction of land using and developing in the future, and to improve the ecology and culture value of the land at the same time, which is aimed to build a world-level scenic spot. The design philosophy of cultural Spot and administration strategy The plan complied with the related laws of the state, province and city protects the deep historical culture resource of Zhongshan Scenic Spot, and shows its culture. This will optimize the land using, balance the tourism between its development and the protection of natural ecology, and enhance the development of tourism. With the philosophies of “open minded, integrated space, exploring new functions, diverse tourism” as the strategy of the plan, the Zhongshan Scenic Spot final goal of “showing culture, integrating hills and streams, building cultural scenes, developing tourism economics, protecting natural ecology environment” will become true.
According to the plan of the outer fringe scene, several parks will be built: parks in front of lake (including Pipa lake scene and Entrance park of Zhongshan Gate)、Fraternal Park、Universe scientific Park、Zhongshan Sport Park、North Ethnic Culture Park、Xiama fang Park、East Entrance Park、Yingpan Shan Park. At the same time, this plan covers the developing and using of scenic transportation, building, environmental ecology, hydrology resource, biology resource, culture resource and scenic economic development.
The plan for the outer fringe protects and enhances its special features of “forest, stream, city, mausoleum ”, and its important functions of “international tour scenic spot, Nanjing ancient capital style, ecology balance of the city, and the main entertainment center of Nanjing ”. The plan includes the receipt facility system of comfort, advanced, and suitable size, and includes the scenic unique administration system of smooth and efficiency. This area will become famous scenic spot of state-level, and be well known in china and the world with excellent natural ecology, historical culture and scenic spot resource, combining three benefits of society, environment and economy.
中山门入口公园陵园路旅游设施位于南京钟山风景区陵园路入口处，东临陵园路，西、北接明陵路、梅花谷景区，南临宁杭公路，交通便利，与正在建设中的地铁二号线苜蓿园站相接。陵园路旅游设施将成为钟山风景区的门户，游客游览的必经之路。
陵园路旅游设施最大限度的保护现有的地形地貌，尽可能的减少土方工程量；在设计中坚持生态优先的原则，充分考虑地块现有的自然生态景观价值，并作为景观要素组织到设计中。综合运用地形、环境小品、植物选型与配种以及地面铺装等景观元素，塑造具有鲜明特色的空间环境氛围。
中山门入口公园陵园路旅游设施将分为景观区、游客接待中心、景观覆土建筑和地下商业区等，是钟山风景区综合整治的一个重要环节，总建筑面积18000m2，预计总投资6200万。
中山门入口公园陵园路旅游设施将作为钟山风景区最主要入口，连接城市和钟山风景区。道路在整体环境和区域交通条件、接待中心等综合服务配套的完善后，将形成一个环境优美、风景怡人的钟山风景外缘景区，成为景区加强管理的窗口，游客和市民旅游、休闲的好去处。

Tourist Facilities of Lingyuan Road in Entrance Park of Zhongshan Gate locates at the Entrance of Lingyuan Road in Nanjing Zhongshan Mausoleum. It leads to Lingyuan Road in the East, and connects Mingling Road and Club Valley in the west, nearby the highway from Nanjing to Hangzhou from its south. It will connect Muxu Yuan station of the second subway that is being built, which is convenient for traveling. The tourist facilities of Lingyuan Road will be the portal of Zhongshan Mausoleum, and be the only way for visitors to enter into Zhongshan Mausoleum.
The tourist facilities of Lingyuan Road protect their original environment to the maximum, and decrease earthwork as little as possible. The policy of ecology first is persisted in the designing. Considering its current value, the natural ecology environment is engaged into the designing as an essential sight.
Zhongshan Gate Entrance Park Lingyuan Road Tourist Facilities are divided as scenic part, visitor receipt center, manually earth covering scenes, and subway commercial district, which is one of the main parts of the Zhongshan Scenic Spot remediation. The total construction area is 18,000m2 ,. The total investment is 62 million RMB.
Zhongshan Gate Entrance Park Lingyuan Road Tourist Facilities will be the main entrance of the Zhongshan Scene, be the connection between downtown and Zhongshan Scene. After the integrated environment, and all service facilities, such as transportation, receipt center, are finished, the outer fringe spot will become the most beautiful charming place for visitors and citizens to go, and become the example of the scenic administration improvement.

中山门入口公园明陵路游客中心位于南京钟山风景区中山门入口处，东临陵园路旅游基地，南至宁杭公路，西接明陵路，北至梅花谷景区。主要功能为游客中心、若干酒吧及休闲娱乐设施。
该区域建筑设计外立面材质以文化石、青砖以及玻璃为主，局部辅以木材。蜿蜒而下的溪流成为场地的主要风景，建筑围绕停车场落于溪边，掩映于湖光山色之中。
中山门入口公园明陵路游客中心共有四栋建筑，总建筑面积为2574.38平方米总投资3600万。该区域建成后将成为中山门入口公园的重要组成部分，是通往明孝陵景区的主要道路节点。

The Mingling Road Visitor Center of Zhongshan Gate Entrance Park locates at the entrance of Zhongshan Gate of Nanjing Zhongshan Scenic Spot. To its east is mausoleum tourism base, its south ends with the highway between Nanjing and Hangzhou, in the west it crosses with Mingling Road, and its north is a club valley. As the visitor center, it has several bars and entertainment facilities.
Buildings in this area are designed to have Artificial Text Fossil, blue brick and glass as the main material, and wood as supplementary material. The zigzagging stream will be the main scenery. Rounding parking lot, the building is nearby streams, hides itself into the nature.
The Zhongshan Gate Entrance Park Mingling Road Visitor Center has four buildings, with total area of 2574.38 sq.m.. Total investment 36 million RMB. This area will be the important part of the Entrance Park of Zhongshan Gate, and be the main connection of the road to Ming Xiaoling Tomb Scenic Spot.
